Introduction to Buying and Selling Stock

Photo of Rush-Hour Traffic

Buying and selling stock may appear complicated at first, but it is, in fact, quite simple. It is like a game. It has its own rules, its own set of characters, and its own language code.

To get started, you need a game board and to know the rules. The game board is a brokerage account. The rules make sure that everyone plays fair. Your strategy determines whether you come out ahead or lose.

But make no mistake—investing is not a game; it is serious business. The more you know and understand about the process and strategies, the better off you will be at the end.
